
Lets Talk about the MOST IMPORTANT article of the entire website – this is 1 that took me weeks to research & write – for everything else on this website is based on this – why would we fight or lower or be biased towards something we know hardly anything about – & even what little we think we know is incorrect, because we have been lied to…
What is Cholesterol, anyways?
Cholesterol is not a Fat (even though it looks “similar”), it is actually a Sterol – which makes it a type or foam of Steroid that is Hydrophobic (Hydro=water ; Phobic=Avoiding) – which means it CANNOT travel in the Bloodstream directly by itself.
Cholesterol is carried in the blood (which is a watery medium) by a large protective capsule (think of a submarine or a boat) called a “Lipoprotein” – NOW this “boat” doesn’t ONLY carry Cholesterol, it also carries other ESSENTIAL components like Proteins & Triglycerides.
We interchange the names Cholesterol = Lipoprotein, but this is not true, REMEMBER, Cholesterol is carried BY Lipoproteins (aka, Boats) which is just a of a few items these “boats” carry…
But wait, you get different types of Lipoproteins called – Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) / High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) / Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) / Intermediate Density Lipoprotein (IDL) – to mention a few of minimum 13 types that scientists/researchers have discovered so far (Yet not even most doctor knows this, even they think that there’s only 2 or 3 types)
Cholesterol is so VITAL that almost every cell in the body is capable of making it (besides neurones) , without it, there would be NO LIFE. One of the main purposes of your Liver is to make around 80% of the cholesterol that your body needs to function (we consume / other cells help make the rest of the 20%). The more cholesterol we eat, the less our liver makes & vise-versa – our body balances itself, so you can eat as much Cholesterol fill foods as you like & it wont spike our cholesterol levels & this is true for approx 99.4% of the world population. (The other 0.4% have a condition called Familial Hypercholesterolemia, including guess who? Me of course. But this is another linked article here out of the scope of this article)
Benefits/Functions of Cholesterol:
- Most importantly, Cholesterol is part of the Myelin Sheath – similar described as the coating on copper wire, this ensures the brain functions correctly by helping with the pasage of electrical impulses – aka, Brain Synapses (ie, the links/connections between nerve cells in the brain & elsewhere) are made almost entirely of Cholesterol. If we lower Cholesterol then this DIRECTLY affects our Focus & Our Memory
- Helps the Liver & Gall-Bladder Produce Bile Acids – Cholesterol is the key component in Bile . Bile is used for Food Digestion & Digestions of Fats & ridding the body of waste.
- Vitamin D – Everybody “knows” that the sun on our body/skin gives us one of the most powerful vitamins known to man – yet , this is ACTUALLY produced from Cholesterol by the Action of SUNLIGHT on our body – its one of the main vitamins for healthy humans but you can read about the benefits here)
- Is used to produce certain Steriods and Hormones…You remember, the BIG 3 – Testosterone / Estrogen / Cortisone – also ncluding sex hormones – the body uses cholesterol to produce all these hormones
- Stabilizes Cell Membranes – Cholesterol acts to interlock “Lipid Molecules” which stabilizes cell membranes – without this, all bodily tissues would disintergrate, therefore cholesterol is a Vital building block for all cells. (Just imagine that a house represents your body & the cement mix between each bricks, the cholesterol, no imagine if somehow you started to remove all the cement, yes, your house would collapse)
- Benefits the Immune System – Cholesterol has massive beneficial effects on the immune system – Men with high cholesterol (like me) have stronger immune systems than those with lower cholesterol – as seen by the fact that they have more Lymphocytes / Total T-cells / Helper T-cells / CD8+ cells. Further many strains of bacteria which cause us to get sick, are almost totally inactivated by LDL Cholesterol (Hint on why I named this website Cholesterol-Warriors)
Ignoring all the benefits of Cholesterol, Skeptics / Pharmaceutical Industry / most doctors will still hold strong on the idea – most because it benefits their pockets, not their patients health or that simply most mean well but don’t know the Truth about Cholesterol….

Life would be too fragile & uncertain if we had to rely only on our food source to supply it – since is mostly in dairy & saturated fats, what would happen to example Vegetarians / Vegans if our body didn’t synthesize its own cholesterol?
On a different note – why do you think that an EGG YOLK is FULL of Cholesterol?
“Because it takes on hell of a lot of cholesterol to build a healthy chicken…” Let me explain: in Mammalian Fetuses (example, Humans) whos blood supply, ie, Cholesterol supply, is linked directly to the mother, Birds & reptiles must grow & develop entirely dependant on the nutrients contained IN THE EGG. Because as you have above, but I will repeat, Cholesterol is one of the most important elements for growth & development, therefore its abundantly present in Egg Yolks, & the whites are mostly protein…thats why eggs are SO HEALTHY for you to consume
