Statin use may lead to Heart Failure…

WHAT? Yes, statin drugs reduce cholesterol, but that does not mean that is its some miracle drug that prolongs your life & reduces your risk for heart disease…

Anyways, back to Heart Failure… (Also known as CHF – Congestive Heart Failure ie, Cardiomyopathy)

Statin drugs Hinders/ Stops / Reduces / Decreases the production of a Vitamin like nutrient that is made in every cell in the body called Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10 aka Ubiquinol in its oxidized form)

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) helps convert fuel to energy for your body’s cells (ATP ie, the energy molecule), the number 1 organ that uses the most amount of fuel & energy is, guess what, the Heart (you can read more about this in the Book – The Great Cholesterol Myth) – CoQ10 is one of the most critical components that makes sure muscles get the proper fuel it needs to function as it should – a human body cannot work without this vital component – its like the heating coil on your electric stove, if its damaged, its not going to convert electricity into the energy required to cook your food, then you starve.

Now low CoQ10 leads to weakening of muscles (that’s why one of the major side effects of Statin cholesterol lowering drugs is muscle pain) – this means that it lowering CoQ10 weakens the Heart muscle which is required to pump an estimated 7200 litres of blood per day, every day for the rest of your life…

Its like the hospital doctor telling your family just after you have passed on, “His cholesterol numbers where well within the recommended range, but he died of Heart failure” all caused from Statins that was supposed to reduce Heart Disease & increase longevity in the first place
